I've got an odd problem. It has to do with HYPERDISK and Windows 3.0.
I am using both Qemm 5.11 and HyperDisk 4.20 (using extended memory).
All works just fine until I decide to use Windows. Ok, I'll get the
Microsoft's ad, then just as the graphics should appear all I see is a
flicker, and the screen stays blank. The Windows has started, though.
I can exit Windows by using Alt+F4, but I'd really like to see what I
do with the Windows. The funniest part of this problem is that if I start
Windows in Standard mode (win/s), I invariably get to see the graphics...
And in the Real mode the whole Windows seems to crash...
Also, when I don't use the HyperDisk, the problem seems to disappear,
which leads one to think that the problem and HyperDisk are somehow
linked.
So, to sum it up, in 386-mode I got Windows, no screen, in Standard
I get Windows with screen, but no 386 gimmicks, and in Real-mode I
get nothing at all.
My hardware is as follows:
16MHz 386SX, 4 M memory, Trident SVGA (512 k), 65 M RLL harddisk
I'd appreciate all the tips that might aid me in solving this dilemma.

Hi, Did you use EMMExclude= statement in your win.ini file? If you set it correctly you should have no problems. I am using Qemm5.11, with the following loaded high, hyperdisk 4.21, mouse driver, syquest driver, stacker driver. Note that you should use hyperdkx with qemm, it may still work but hyperdkx is optimise for qemm. Well, I hope that helps. Regards, Michael
