david@vlsisj.uucp (David Hsu) (05/14/91)
I have a Blue Chip 120 9 pin printer (also sold as Citizen, C. Itoh,
etc.) which explicitly states support for the Epson 9 pin command
set. Printing from Windows (any application) using the Epson 9 pin
driver causes a solid black bar to be printed before the first
character in a line. Printing with the vanilla text driver prints
in reverse (white text on black). I've redirected printing to a
file, and the first command is Esc r, which is Epson for reverse
mode. Putting 0's (in a hex editor) over the Esc r, removes the
black bar, but causes other problems. I'm at the limit of my
resources and am stumped; before I resign myself to $pend money
on a new printer, anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance! Dave Hsu
