I would like to have a program like calendar, but what it would do
is when activated, look through a file to see if anything needs done that
*day* or maybe *week* and put a message up on the screen.
Something like this would be nice so I don't forget to do things like
pay my bills by a certain date!
It wouldn't really have to be a windows program, a plain old dos program
would also do.

The DeskTop Set, by Okna, is a Windows package I've been using for about two months. Its integrated calendar-phonebook capabilities are wonderful. Want reminders? How about a calendar entry on the third Thursday of every month, excluding July and August, and excluding days you've marked as holidays or vacation days, with a notation to remind you three days earlier, and the whole thing linked to an entry in your address/phonebook? Takes less time to do than it took me to type this. I have years of professional experience with both UNIX-based and DOS-based office automation products, and this is one of the best things I've seen. I have no business connection with Okna; I just like the product and think they deserve to succeed big. -- Harvey S. It is just pure curiosity. I wonder whether "Okna" which was mentioned in this newsgroup on several occasions derives its name from the Polish translation of "Windows"? Or is it only a coincident?
