I need information about Authoring systems that are created to run within Windows 3.0. I trust that this topic does not stray too far from the general interests of users of this news group. I am currently evaluating a product called IconAuthor by AimTech. It seems to present quite a good interface to the user for the creation of educational material for Computer Based Learning facilities. However, it claims to do a great many things that we are interested in but cannot immediately test. In particular, the ability of any particular Authoring system to interface and control video tape and video disk players and thereby incorporate these items into lessons is of interest. Is there anybody "out there" who uses Authoring software on DOS PC's who can help us with advice based on their experience either with IconAuthor in particular or other similar packages?
