I am trying to get 256 colours out of my Commodore PC60-III which I believe has a 512k Paradise SVGA on board. I have played around with Graphics Workshop, and the best driver of the set that comes with it appears to be the PARADELL driver, which announces itself as a Paradise driver. The VGA ROM contains the string "003056-018COPYRIGHT WESTERN DIGITAL CORPORATION." No mention of Paradise in the first several k. My problem is that the Paradise 640x480x256 driver on the SDL disk does not work. It creates a mad perfusion of colour which appears as if the driver is totally confused about the addressing of the graphics, as I can make out some of the screen (for example, the mouse cursor takes up about three-quarters of the screen and is light red). GWS with PARADELL works fine with the pictures that I had. Unfortunately the drivers that came with the computer are for Windows 2. I have no intention of running Windows in standard mode or below just to get this to work. Any ideas? Anybody able to say for certain what is in this beast? Thanks, Barry
