I have recently purchased an HP DeskJet 500. The applications I am using to print to the DJ500 are MathCad 2.5 (non-Win appl.) and ChiWriter (also non-Win appl). I would be interested in getting a copy of a printer driver that correctly utilizes the DJ 500 (especially the Math fonts, Linedraw font, Italic fonts on the Prestige Elite cartridge). Then maybe I could modify the drivers that currently are used by ChiWriter and MathCad. Apparently these drivers were written for the old DeskJets. I have ordered MathCad 3.0 which is written as a Windows 3.0 application. So I would also be interested in a Win3 printer driver for the DJ500. Any hacks or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Michael - your DeskJet 500 should have come with a Windows 3.0 scaleable-font driver. If it didn't, get one from your dealer or HP. Terrell
