Has anyone had any success with running any BBS programs in the background of a 386 machine running Windows 3.0?? If so, please relate experience, prgrams, happiness, etc to me...! -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- John M. Grohol || Nova University - Ft. Waffle, in combination with the X00 FOSSIL driver works well for me. I set up a DOS batch file that does only 2 things: invoke the X00 driver, then invoke Waffle. This batch file (I called it email.bat) is then invoked from a PIF file named email.pif, specifying appropriate memory (at least 512k) and the desired priority. I leave this background task running 24hr/day and it works like a champ for me. My system: 386 20MHz clone, 4M memory, 2400b internal modem, etc. -- Chris Winemiller Internet: cwinemil@keys.lonestar.org UUCP : texsun!letni!keys!cwinemil texsun!digi!keys!cwinemil
