I own an old EMS/XMS add on BOCORAM AT 286 board it can be 2 megs of Expanded memory lim v3.2 or 4 megs of Extended memory i tried both configurations but windows still crashes in standard mode i have a 286 with 1 meg of memory.. i had to disable the 386 extended memory on my motherboard to allow the extended memory to work properly i have asked several people for help they said my EMS board was too old.. and that the hardware memory manager is outdated if this is so.. is there anything i can do? i don't think a software solution can help..hmmm maybe it can are there any good EMM (extended memory managers ) out there for 286's that can take over all the extended memory and work with windows? i tried QEMM ,VRAM,and QRAM... maybe an old version of QEMM might work? but i think it is definitely hardware-wise-the problem.. my ems board is archaic.. it came out when 286's were popular.. that is why it is called the bocaram ems board 286 AT i even called Bocaram and they have discontinued the model a few years ago and can't offer any help All those 4 megs of extended memory and all windows does with it is lock up when booting up windows..or whilst it is 2 minutes into it any solutions? thanx!
