[comp.windows.ms] Referral on windows calendar programs

rubin@visual1.jhuapl.edu (Don Rubin) (06/10/91)

I hope this is the proper place for this post,
if not, feel free to flame.

I wonder if you netties can recommend any public
domain, shareware or commercial calendar programs
for Windows. I will be happy to summerize and
present to the net any replies.

BTW, I have looked at ALWIN15 and the one that
comes with windows and was not impressed. I want
something to replace my paper "datebook". Thanks...

Try Almanac for Windows, available in /pub/pc/win3/util/alm103.zip
at cica 129.79.20.22

It's great, easy to install, and easy to use. (Prints nicely too!)

I have been reasonable impressed with ALMANAC. It is available
through SIMTEL. I think the latest version is 1.10. It is a
Windows 3.0 version. (Version 0.xx were Win 2.x versions.)

It has most of the features you would want and I have found very few
bugs. It is shareware.

Joe Bob says check it out.

I use OKNA's "The DeskTop Calendar Set". It is a very good calendar/phone
book program for WIN 3.0. The set has a calendar, phone book, calculator,
dialer, and phone log. You can get demos on most windows bbses. Or, you
can contact the company at:
   OKNA Corp.
