[net.auto] MINI VAN DIFFERENCES

dmf@whuxi.UUCP (02/28/85)

My better half had been looking around for a van for work.
He loves fords but didn't want another full size van.

We looked at chrysler but found you could only get a 4
cylinder engine and the bed was relatively small; not to
mention the price was HIGH (guess Chrysler thinks they
       warrant more money).

Even though my husband always hated chevy's (he owned a body
shop and said they rot), I talked him into going to a chevy
dealer to look at their mini van.

Just perfect. It actually is a mini-van. A lot bigger than
chrysler and comes with a available V-6 (he was concerned
       about carrying weight).

Then went to a GMC dealer (my husband swears their
suspension is better than a chevy) and ordered the truck.
(mostly heavy duty payload and heavy duty options). The bed
is (don't quote me) I believe 1 foot shorter than a his full
       size ford.

Best news, both the chevy dealer and the GMC gave us prices
LOWER than Chrysler (with a heck of a lot more equipment
       too.)
