Has anyone experienced problems printing Windows documents on Novell? We're printing documents through a print server. The first pages print fine and then the printer starts spewing out garbage. The printer driver is dated 9/20/90. Any help would be appreciated.

We are using a LaserJet III, and that was part of the problem. The main thing that causes printing from Windows to the network appears to be (on our network anyway) the use of DOSED. This is a program that maintains a history of keystrokes at the DOS prompt. When printing from Excel and Project, this definitely needs to be remarked out of the autoexec file. Excel also objects to the use of the HP ProCollection Font Cartridge. We were also getting glitches on the Project sheets that were taken care of by adding /NT to the capture. Also, printing as byte stream and not as text is important. Hope this helps. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Karin Coffee Intel Supercomputer Systems Division Network/System Administration 15201 NW Greenbrier Parkway The LAN Lords Beaverton, OR 97201 karinc@ssd.intel.com (503) 629-7693 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I've found that using the OS2.LPT[12] ports will reliably print when printing to an HP LaserJet III EXCEPT when using Adobe Type Manager. (More on this in another posting.). Brendan
