Hello all,
I did get Procomm Plus to down load in the background. It
would seem that the priority was set ok, but as someone said, be
sure the background execution is marked in the pif. This fixed
the problem I was having, but in posting the question, I got
some new ideas on how to run Procomm in the background. The
following are some ways to do just that, some better than others,
personal preference and machine capabilities being the deciding
factors.
Alt+Esc, Alt Tab, Crtl+Esc, or Alt+Enter then minimize will all work.
Alt+Esc and Alt+Tab seem to run Procomm full screen in the background.
Crtl+Esc is a windows switching function.
Alt+Enter then minimizing seems to be the slowest.

I can say is try adjusting the priority or some other setting
in the advanced part of the pif file.
