[comp.windows.ms] Graphics and Excel question

zeller@bgsuvax.UUCP (Fuzzy Zeller) (06/21/91)

I am pulling my hair out with this problem I'm having with Excel 3.0.
I have some 300 dpi TIFF files that I need imported into an Excel
spreadsheet under the same resolution for a laserwriter. The only way
I found to do this is to use Pagemaker and place the TIFF into a
document, copy the graphic, and paste it into the Excel spreadsheet.
The problem is, the graphic pasted in the spreadsheet is 4 times the
size of the origonal graphic. When I try to resize the graphic to 25% on
each side, most of the greyscaling that tiff did is destroyed on the
laserwriter. I really don't care what it looks like on the screen as
long as it keeps the 300dpi on the laserwriter. Any help would be
greately appreciated and if you are in the Bowling Green area, I'd gladly
buy you a milkshake.
