To whom it may concern, I own an i486 based IBM-compat which has a Sound Blaster card in it. Like (most probably) many others I have found the sample editing software included with the card to be nowhere near ample with its functions. I have been frustrated right out of my skull trying to make perfect samples by constantly re-recording things. What I am REALLY looking for is a software package similar to the SOUND TOOL software for windows... with it you can edit, cut+paste pieces of waveforms together to make new sample files. The problem is that the SOUND TOOL and SOUNDER software use MAC samples and play them through the pc speaker. This is fair quality sound, yes, but it is not compatible with Sound Blaster's .VOC voice files. If ANYONE out there knows of such software (or better or worse) for editing VOC samples (windows or non-windows) PLEASE reply to my "forwardee" with information on it. Whether it be public domain, shareware, or copyrighted private software, please send info. I would truly appreciate any help possible with the problem. Thank you, Derek Bradley Frederick Gunnlaugson
