After recently upgrading my system to a ST1144A drive, I copied my previous windows and QEMM files from old ST157A. When starting up Windows (3.00a by the way, QEMM 5.12) I get the message (overwriting the Win startup graphic) "Dos Version 3.1, You must have DOs version 3.2 or higher" Or something like that... THis is all well and good but I'm running DOS 4.01 (the new harddrive was high level formatted, and boots from 4.01) Am I missing something here? I also tried running windows from my old harddrive (now drive D:) and got the same message. I am not using smartdrive or disk manager partitioning software. My ST1144A is setup as one partition of 130M... (Hey I have my reasons...) Any idea where the problem is? I suspect QEMM as the culprit. The system will run Windows (in real mode) if I boot without QEMM (ie no exp/ext mem) I do not want to repartition or use HIMEM.SYS if I can avoid it...
