1rganization: University of Oulu, Finland Lines: I experienced a srange problem installing a 1024x768 Windows driver for a qquit qquit 386 SX computer using an Ahead based video card. Any text-based DOS programs would run perfectly well in a window but when I pressed Alt-Enter to make them run full screen, the screen blanked out. Pressing Alt-Enter again would put the program back into a window. However, the problem makes it impossible to run a DOS graphics program in enhanced mode at all. Does anyone know what this could be all about? The video card is an Ahead clone with 512K memory and the monitor is a SuperVGA thing capable of 1024x768. The machine is running AMI bios dating back to 1989. I have seen a couple of 386SX's at work with a true Ahead card which did not have this problem, also running quite early AMI bioses and more likely than not older video bioses than this one.
