I want to use the GRAB (Screen grabber) Utility provided with WordPerfect, in windows. It is a TSR. The invocation keys are Shift+Alt+F9. But nothing is happening when I press these keys while I am in windows. I use Windows 3.0. Can some body tell me why it is not working and how to make it work? Thanks in advance. In my experience, quite a few TSR's are diabled during Windows sessions. ======================================================================= _______ | | | PETER F. Windows 3.0 grabs your hardware completely (unless you're running a DOS session while *NOT* in 386 Enhanced mode), which means that the utility provided with Wordperfect, like most TSR's, cannot detect that their hotkey combination has been pressed if they were loaded *BEFORE* Windows. Possible solutions: (a) if you're trying to grab the pretty Windows screen (i.e. a screenshot of the Windows environment), you should try using a different screen grabber utility which was designed to work within Windows -- see your local favorite-FTP-site file listings; they may not capture directly to .WPG format, but you can use the CONVERT which comes with Wordperfect or some other package (again, there are several shareware and PD programs which will do this and are widely available); (b) if you're trying to grab the screen of a DOS application, running DOS full screen, *THEN* loading GRAB, then running the application you want, may help you get results. -- Above text where applicable is (c) Copyleft 1991, all rights deserved by: UNIX:/etc/ping instantiated (Ping Huang) [INTERNET: pshuang@athena.mit.edu]
