Info-3b2 Digest, Number 88 Monday, July 31st 1989 Today's Topics: 'Killed' message from sh ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: 'Killed' message from sh From: info-3b2@netsys.com Date: Fri, 28 Jul 89 03:13:26 -0400 Date: 27 Jul 89 16:52:05 CDT (Thu) From: matt@iquery.UUCP (Matt Reedy) For some bizarre reason, a specific program we compile & link on our 3b2/300 gets a 'Killed' message when trying to run it on a particular 3b2/600 and a different 3b/4000. But we have other /600's that it runs on just fine, and other programs that we have made on our /300 also run just fine on the /600 and /4000 that won't run this specific program. What's the shell really trying to tell me when it says 'Killed'? What is my program trying to do that would cause the shell to kill it? Could it be related to the kernel config or other tunable param? Many thanks in advance. matt Matthew Reedy UUCP: gatech!petro!iquery!matt Programmed Intelligence Corp. 400 N Loop 1604 E, Suite 330 San Antonio, TX 78232 (512) 490 6684 Fax: (512) 490-3590 ------------------------------------- To join this group or have your thoughts in the next issue, please send electronic mail to Ken Davis at the following address; {apple, netsys, pacbell, pyramid}!lamc!info-3b2-digest The views expressed in Info-3b2 Digest are those of the individual authors only. ********************** End of Info-3b2 Digest **********************
