I am in the market for a new set of tires for my '71 Pinto. I am thinking of buying either 205/60VR13 Comp t/a or 205/60HR13 Radial t/a 60H. A FEW QUESTIONS: ---------------- *Has anyone had any experiences with these tires, in this size or any other size? *I plan on mounting these on 13x5.5 rims. I have seen them mounted nicely on a 13x7, but the books specify a 13x5.5 as being the smallest allowable width. Does anyong have these mounted on 13x5.5? Is there excessive sidewall movement and tread center wear? *How is the mileage of these tires? Do they wear out quickly? *Has anyone read any reports comparing the Comp t/a against the Radial t/a 60H, or the Radial t/a 60H against other tires? I have read many reports testing the Comp t/a, but none testing the Radial t/a 60H. Please respond to me by mail. Thanks, Tim

I have 13 x 5.5 rims and am using 205 60 VR 13 tires. I would recommend them in general and over the Pirelli P6 (same size) in particular. The tires have better dry traction and much better wet traction than the P6s. (Needless to say were talking outstanding performance when compared to more conventional tires.) I have not detected any problems associated with the narrow rims, either related to handling or unusual wear. I only have a few thousand miles on these tires so I can't evaluate tread wear. I got very uniform wear out of the P6s, about 24K/set, in the same size on the same rims. I expect fewer miles from the Comp T/As. I got a good price from Euro-tire at ~103/tire and I also got a $10/tire rebate via AT&T opportunity calling. Good Luck Walt Barnes ...!ihuxn!wwb

He bought a set of the Euro 60H's; I'm probably buying some later. They are both excellent tires: they beat most of the other tires in their class. However, my friend had problems with undersized rims and I highly recomment not putting those fat tires on your small rims. The 60H's wear better than the Comp's. For the price difference you only get a maginal amount of improvement for the Comp's. Note: Michelin has a new tire which outperforms the Comp's! Drive fast, David A. Gallagher
