Archive-name: rn/patch-41-43 Original-posting-by: sob@lib.tmc.edu (Stan Barber) Original-subject: rn patches coming Archive-site: lib.tmc.edu [129.106.5.1] Archive-directory: public/rn Reposted-by: emv@math.lsa.umich.edu (Edward Vielmetti) This posting annouces the availability of patches that integrate rn and NNTP modified rn (so-called rrn) into one source. It also provides for many outstanding fixes to rn. These patches are manditory for sites using rn in any form that wants to track the official patches. The patches have been tested against the sources available from uunet (news/rn.tar.Z) and gatekeeper.dec.com (public/lwall/rn-4.3.41.tar.Z) and work successfully if and only if you are running patch 2.0 with all patches up through patch 12 installed. These patches are available via anonymous ftp from bcm.tmc.edu in the public directory. They are also available via the archive-server@bcm.tmc.edu. Send that address a messages containing the line "send public rn.41.patch" to get the first patch. In that message, you will see the instructions for getting the other two. The entire kit with patches installed is also available via anonymous ftp from lib.tmc.edu in public/rn. It is not available via the archive-server at this time. Please send all comments to "rrn@lib.tmc.edu"...
