At first I posted this to net.auto nj distribution only, but on second thought I think it might be of interest to the net. I heard that thought I AMC and Renault are splitting and this will be the last year that AMC will sell/make Renaults. What are the implications here, pro and con? I can think of several: Orphan car, hard/impossible to get out of warranty service, poor to no resale value. On the other hand: if Renault is right and they continue to successfully sell in the U.S. market this could be a desireable automobile, the last year they assembled them here, etc. However this is all speculation. Anypone else heard about the split? I think this is a juicy issue to hash out on the net. What's your opinion? Art Steinman Path..houxu!ahs
