[The following was found on a local newsgroup that has things from the CERFnet mailing list. You should probably check if they are available from your regonal NSFnet before ftping from CERFnet. CERFnet is the southern California regonal NSFnet run from the San Diego Supercomputer Center. Reposted without permission, it was already missing the originating address when I got it. Bob Larson <blarson@usc.edu>] [I don't normally want messages with local distributions or from mailing lists reposted to comp.archives unless the original author or someone equally responsible does the repost. In this case, I checked myself; I'd prefer it if those who forward such material check it themselves. BTW, the originator is Karen Armstrong, ArmstrongK@SDS.SDSC.EDU. tww] Now available at via anonymous ftp to sds.sdsc.edu at the CERFnet NIC, is an article that compiles and describes the routing principles used by the agency IP backbones in their relationships with other networks. This article is written by Scott Brim of Cornell University. The article is available in the subdirectory [.cerfnet_info] and filename [IP_backbones.txt]. Also, available via anonymous ftp to sds.sdsc.edu is an updated version of the Internet Accessible Library and Database Catalogs by Dr. Art St. George and Ron Larsen. The catalog is available in postscript and text versions. The catalog is in the [.cerfnet_news] subdirectory and filenames [internet_accessible_catalog.txt] and internet_accessible_catalog.ps]. For a listing of other resources availalbe at the CERFnet NIC see the recent issue of CERFnet News, December 1989-January 1990. Karen
