Archive-site: ns.uu.net [192.48.96.3] Reposted-by: emv@math.lsa.umich.edu (Edward Vielmetti) For those of you using or planning on using uunet.uu.net, please use ns.uu.net 192.48.96.3 ns is a 3 cpu Pyramid MIServer that is currently doing NOTHING but acting as an ftp server for X11R4. uunet will continue to carry the X distribution, but right now it's getting the living hell beat out of it, so it's to everyone's advantage to use the faster, less loaded machine (ns.uu.net). ns and uunet are on the same Ethernet which is connected to SURANET via T-1 (currently sustaining over 700 kbps since 5pm!) so there is no advantage to using uunet over ns and a big speed difference from using the unloaded ns.
