While there are probably a lot of quality Mail packages available
for Novell, I was wondering if there were one or two that are
more useful (and recognize the commands) for sending letters on
BITNET, INTERNET, ARPANET, etc.). Please let me know of your
positive and/or negative experiences in this regard.

Mark,
I am using CC:Mail for this application. I have a public domain translator
that will run on a couple of dedicated pc's to accomplish this transparant
use of the various email networks. A description and the source code is
available:
The files you need are available from monk.proteon.com (128.185.123.16) in
the pub directory for anonymous FTP. They are also available from our bbs
at (508)366-7827 in the misc download files directory. The file is
"arpagw.arc" which is in pkarc format. Let me know if this is sufficient.
