| I was wondering whether anyone knows of an X-serial implementation for
| DOS or if any vendor out there will admit to working on such an
| implementation.

Sorry I can't offer you a product, but there is a mailing list that I
chair whose mission is to come up with a standard for X Terminal support
across low bandwidth and/or unreliable links (i.e. RS232, etc.) If
you're interested in joining the list, send a message to
x-serial-request@lll-crg.llnl.gov. You can also peruse the x-serial
message archives if you want via anonymous ftp from LLL-CRG.LLNL.GOV in
the directory mailing-lists/x-serial.
