As parts for dmachines are getting harder to find, I'd like to set up
a list of parts that people have that they'd be willing to trade. This
way, if someone needs a part, for example an IOP, there would be one
central location they could look to see who has that part. I've
created a directory on tut.cis.ohio-state.edu, called
lispusers/parts-trading, and we can use that area for submissions.
I'll put a list of what we've got to trade as soon as I can inventory
our cabinet, but a cursory look suggests that we've got the internals to
at least 4 complete 110x's, modulo disks and screens. Those without
ftp or uucp access to Tut could send me mail, I guess. I guess it
would be up to the people involved in the actual trade to establish
pricing/shipping, all I'm willing to do is set up the actual database.
It seems like displays and disks are the first to die, so these will
probably be harder to find, but we do see the occasional failure in
some other board.
