Original-subject: TALK V1.0 release (for CMU-TEK)
Archive-site: drycas.club.cc.cmu.edu [128.2.232.11]
Reposted-by: emv@math.lsa.umich.edu (Edward Vielmetti)

The subject line says it all. There haven't been any more bugs that I could
easily correct on DRYCAS, so I've patched up a few more things and called it
a release.

It does work for the most part, but it doesn't work when a BSD 4.2 machine
"calls in" due to the byte-swapping problem which BSD 4.3 fixed. (It will
work with other VAXen with BSD 4.2, but not Suns and other MSB first machines.)

TALK010.A is available for ANONYMOUS FTP from DRYCAS.CLUB.CC.CMU.EDU
(128.2.232.11) and upon request for SEND/FILE/VMS for Bitnet sites.

No guarantees are expressed or implied. It works/worked for me, so I hope it
works for you.

(For those of you who will be getting the next release of the CMU-TEK TCP/IP
software from here, TALK will be on it as well.)
