I've updated the X9700 package on LISTSERV at RICEVM1.
It now includes the following file manipulation tools:
o HOSTTAPE - to load LPS labeled files from tape to disk
o HOSTCOPY - to send files to the printer in HOSTCOPY mode
o DJDEFILE - to send files to the printer in "online" mode
o FONTINFO - to list SOME of the info you would get from SAMPLE
You can get these tools by sending mail or an interactive
message to LISTSERV at RICEVM1 with the text:
GET X9700 PACKAGE
All source is in C, specifically SAS/C, so one could compile
them for MVS. We no longer run MVS, but if some kind soul would try
compiling and running this stuff there, I'd appreciate the feedback,
and maybe some working JCL.
