Announcing LPQ and LPRM clients for CMU-Tek TCP/IP
I have just finished LPQ and LPRM clients for CMU-Tek TCP/IP. They
would under V5.x of VMS (probably under V4.x is you recompile) and V6.4
of CMU Tek. Full sources (in C), executables, objects, help files, and command
definitions are included. To get them via FTP:
Host: CLVMS.Clarkson.Edu (IP addr: 128.153.4.4)
User: anonymous
Password: anything
Read the AAAREADME.TXT's for the installation instructions.
The complete distribution is available in one saveset, LPQ-LPRM.SAV.
The entire directory tree is also there, in the sub-dir [.lpr...].
Note that if you FTP it using CMU-Tek FTP, make sure to specify the
/STRUCT=PAGE and /TYPE=IMAGE when getting the saveset and you won't
have to worry about fixing up the record length on the resulting saveset
on your machine. If you get it via some other FTP, then you will have
to grab the FIX_SAVESET.EXE program there which will fixup the record
length of the resulting file.
I only have a limited amount of time to spend with the distribution of
this, so don't ask me to mail it, unless you really can't get it any other
way. It will be included in the V6.5 distribution from CMU in a couple
of months. I can send it out via BITNET if necessary, but as with the
mail, I only have so much time I can spend on this.
The code has been shaken down pretty well, but let me know if you
find any bugs, or have any comments on it.
(For users of other TCP's which don't have these clients: the code may
work with your TCP with the appropriate changes to the I/O calls.)
