The Xcu widget set, V1.5, is now available by anonymous ftp to my machine,
128.84.247.85, in the file "pub/xcu.v1.5.tar.Z". The V1.4 -> V1.5 patches
are available on expo (18.30.0.212) along with a tar file for the V1.5
additions. These are in contrib/R4fixes/Xcu.
V1.5 contains all the necessary R3 -> R4 modifications, plus the usual
assortment of bug fixes, plus a couple new things, in particular a text
entry widget:
XcuEntry updates its label with text input from the keyboard when the
cursor is in the widget, and it can return this text as a callback.
So, it is a convenient widget for input of single or multi-line text.
It has one special twist. When it is expecting that its text is a color
name, it displays the corresponding color as the background of the label.
Also available on my home machine, 128.84.247.85, are a couple other files:

The long awaited :-) 1D cellular automata widget is just about here!
Unfortunately, although it works here, it seems to crash on a Sun.
One kind soul is beta-testing it for me on a Sun, but he may be busy
for awhile. Any other takers?
