I know this isn't a really important topic like Turbos vs V8s, or "my car can blow away your car". Nonetheless, I could use some suggestions. My windshield wipers streak, particularly in a 1 inch band about 4 inches from the tip. Buying new blades doesn't help! They're good for about a day (if that) and then "poof!", new streaks, usually in a different place. Maybe it's acid rain :-). Occasionally, I'll wipe the wipers with Glass Plus (clean off all the grime), and they'll be okay for a day again. I've considered getting new wiper holders, but my car is a Subaru (non-standard), so I would have to get them from Subaru, and pay a big bunch of money for them. Anybody out there have any good ideas? If I'm going to pop for new holders, I would at least like some assurance that they would solve the problem. This windshield wiper streaking problem happened to me. to fix it, I bent the base slightly where the streak was being caused. Try bending the base until the streak clears. Be careful not to bend the whole thing out of shape.
