An upgrade to Quipu-6.0 is now available.

The upgrade fixes a few minor problems:

1) Improved handling of unknown objectclasses.
2) Fix to the handling of photographs in the UNIX system 5 environment,
and in 'sunint'. Also fixes to the handling of big photos.
3) A few fixes to the way Dish is invoked by other programs.
4) A few minor alterations to dish and fred.
5) Handling of lower layer protocol errors improved.
6) A fix to getEDB that caused numerous "weird" errors.
7) An enhancement to editentry to allow you to change editors.
8) A fix to DAP bind.
9) Code to detect alias loops in subtree searches.
10) The ISODE-5.0 compatability code is removed - the DSAs will now
	use 'real' X.500 !
11) Various fixes to allow use of 'gcc', however you will need to use
the '-traditional' flag. Whilst on the subject of compiliers,
on DEC MIPS running Ultrix 3.2, you should use
the -O0 cc option to turn off the optimisers.
12) A few changes to make logging less versbose.
13) Some changes to align to the NIST implementors agreement.

We recommend that everybody running Quipu-6.0 installs this upgrade as soon
as it is practical.

To get the upgrade you should retreive the file "quipu-upgrade.tar.Z"
(a 220K compressed tar image) from one of the following sources:

FTP
If you can FTP to the Internet, then use anonymous FTP to nisc.nyser.net
[192.33.4.10] to retrieve the file quipu-upgrade.tar.Z in BINARY mode from the
    pub/isode/ directory.

Alternatively use anonymous FTP to bells.cs.ucl.ac.uk [128.16.5.31], to
to retrieve the file quipu-upgrade.tar.Z in BINARY mode from the
    src/ directory.

NIFTP
If you run NIFTP over the public X.25 or over JANET, and are registered in
the NRS at Salford, you can use NIFTP with username "guest" and your own
name as password, to access UK.AC.UCL.CS to retrieve the file
    <SRC>quipu-upgrade.tar.Z.

FTAM on the JANET or PSS
The sources are available by FTAM at the UCL over X.25 using JANET
(00000511160013) or PSS (23421920030013) with TSEL "259" (ascii encoding).
Use the "anon" user-identity and retrieve the file quipu-upgrade.tar.Z
    from the "src" directory.

The tar file should be unwrapped on top of your ISODE-6.0 source tree, and
Quipu re-made and installed.

The Quipu team would like to thank Julian Onions, Tim Howes and
Karen Goswell for suppling some of the above mentioned fixes.
