Due to the numerous requests to have the fidonet nodelist requestable, I have
made arrangements with my host to set up an ftp area for this purpose.

Instructions follow,

David Dodell, Administrator, fidonet.org

----

The FidoNet Nodelist is updated every Friday. The current issue
will probably be ftp'able sometime Saturday or Sunday. The
nodelist is presently >600K in size.

To request the FidoNet Nodelist do the following

(1) If you have ftp capabilities;

    anonymous ftp to: asuvax.eas.asu.edu

    find file nodelist.* in the directory "stjhmc"

(2) If you don't have ftp capabilities;

    Through the courtesy of Princeton University, a mail ftp
server is available. First you need to find the current issue of
the nodelist available. To do this send mail to:

  BITFTP@PUCC.BITNET  or BITFTP@pucc.princeton.edu

  The following should comprise the text of your message:

  FTP asuvax.eas.asu.edu
  USER anonymous
  CD /stjhmc
  DIR
  QUIT

  Once you have the nodelist.* (* will be the Julian date of the
  current edition) send another message to BITFTP with the
  following text:

  FTP asuvax.eas.asu.edu
  USER anonymous
  CD /stjhmc
  ASCII
  GET nodelist.* [remember to substitute in the number]
  QUIT
