there's been a lot of requests for this stuff again lately.

I've compiled Meissners version of gcc that provides debugging support
and a superset of the gcc-1.37.91 changes. I've also patched
gcc-1.37.2alpha (the 'ztar' version) to work with his changes. Using
this, I've successfully debugged a couple of programs (mainly my
tasking library, which needed to be changed due to changes in register
saving code).

The DECstation binaries are available from foobar.colorado.edu
(128.138.243.105) in ~ftp/pub/gnu-tools-for-pmax.tar.Z. They were
compiled using a DECstation-3100 with Meissners gcc. I'm running
Ultrix 3.1.

They *must* be installed in /usr/local/Gnu, or, you need to specify -B
all the time.

When I get back from hiking this weekend, I'll package up the diffs to
get g++ compiled with meissners patches -- it's fairly simple.
However, I didn't get 'collect' working, so I'm just using my old
version. The tar also contains Ham@stanford's version of gdb, gnumake
and a bunch of junk.

The tar is 4.8Mb compressed - please grab it on off-peak hours or grab
it and place it on other servers. We're near a NSFNET backbone site
(NCAR), but someone might want to put up an east/west coast version &
mention it here.

I'm also installing a new version of the tasking code that works with
this compiler (in ~ftp/pub/Awesime/awe2-0.6.tar.Z). This version, like
0.5, also includes support for the Motorola 88K.
