Archive-site: linc.cis.upenn.edu [130.91.6.8] Archive-directory: /pub/NH3.0 Reposted-by: emv@math.lsa.umich.edu (Edward Vielmetti) [pachinn@oregon.uoregon.edu writes:] [] I have the hankerin' to get a good role playing game for my mac. umm, you could try NetHack 3.0, a vastly superior descendant of rogue and hack (unix games). eventually, the final version will get posted to various boards and what-have-you but for now you can grab the latest, greatest version by anonymous ftp at "linc.cis.upenn.edu" (130.91.6.8). cd pub/NH3.0/mac mget * {3 files: NH3.09.hqx, NH3.09.doc and README.mac} quit it runs on the mac plus thru the mac IIfx and requires a hard drive with ~1MB free space for the game folder and ~1MB free space for each potentially complete saved game and would like a 1MB partition under MultiFinder (only requires 750kB) and, of course, appropriate system software (like 6.0.2 or better). the NH3.09.hqx file is a BinHex 4.0 encoded, Stuffit archive of the dungeon, guidebook and related files. enjoy! -dave- hairston@henry.ece.cmu.edu
