There should be a gnus.texinfo with the GNUS source distribution. Get tut.cis.ohio-state.edu:pub/gnu/emacs/elisp-archive/info/ispell.info.Z or osu-cis!~/gnu/..., which documents the old ITS Spell and Twenex Ispell. I don't know of any other Info-style docs for UNIX Ispell or its GNU Emacs interface. The source includes a man page, though.
