Hello;

CYBSERV files are now available from Lehigh University's 180/850. Files
on CDC1.CC.Lehigh.EDU (128.180.2.7) can be retrieved via FTP, user name
ANONYMOUS and password GUEST. Before you use CYBSERV please read the file
DISCLAIMER.

Contributions will in general be posted without modification, although
large files will be split into pieces using the program CHUNK. CHUNK breaks a
large file into smaller pieces, placing a 'chunk header' and 'chunk trailer'
line on each piece for easy joining. CHUNK also recombines pieces of a file
previously split by CHUNK, using the 'chunk header' and 'chunk trailer' lines
to ensure proper joining, even if the pieces are out of order or they contain
mail headers or mail trailers. CHUNK is available in five versions (three
languages) in the catalog .ANONYMOUS.CHUNK; pick your favorite flavor.

Files on CDC1 are identical to those on TRBOUN with the following
exceptions:

. FINGER_CYBIL_NOSVE has been updated for NOS/VE 1.5.2 and renamed
as FINGER_COOKIE_AND_SQTP. Changes include support for the TCP/IP
communications device, Domain Name Resolution, improved SQTP
transfer rates, support of remote input job submission, and an SCL
procedure to handle the SQTP I/O queues which can transfer multiple
        files to multiple hosts concurrently.

. JOB_GLOBAL_QUEUES_CYBIL has been updated for NOS/VE 1.5.2. The major
change is to Phone, which now determines window sizes by the
        Page_Width and Page_Length terminal attributes.

. MULTFTP_CYBIL_NOSVE has been updated for NOS/VE 1.5.2 and renamed
MULTFTP_SCL_NOSVE. The CYBIL helper code that handled wildcards
has been eliminated and replaced by a few SCL statements.

. FSE_SCL_NOSVE has been updated for NOS/VE 1.5.2. The main change
is the DISPLAY_UNPRINTABLE_CHARACTERS parameter can now be supplied
        on the FSE command.

. ZOOM_CYBIL_NOSVE has been updated for NOS/VE 1.5.2 and works with
CV2, in addition to CYBIL, FORTRAN, Pascal and RATFOR.

. COMPARE_CYBIL_NOSVE now poperly sets the STATUS variable.

. MSDOS_CYBIL_NOSVE has been updated for NOS/VE 1.5.2. DIR can now
handle permanent tape files and ring-protected files like the
        Mail/VE 2 database.

. MSDOS_SCL_NOSVE has been added. It is essentially equivalent to
MSDOS_CYBIL_NOSVE, but is 350 lines of SCL rather than 4500 lines
        of CYBIL.

Finally, I would like to thank Ferhat Djavidan for his work in maintaining
CYBSERV@TRBOUN. Best of luck to you Ferhat in the future.
