The Digital Line Graph (DLG) data which is on CD-ROM may be obtained

    Earth Science Information Center
    UGSG
    507 National Center
    Reston, VA 22092

The check should be made out to "DOI-USGS".

The CD-ROM contains 1:2,000,000 DLG data for all 50 statec organized
into 21 regions. The data were collected from the sectional maps of the
National Atlac which were updated to late 1979. Data categories include
political boundaries, administrative boundaries, streams, water bodies,
hypsography, roads and trailc, railroads and cultural features.

The CD-ROM contains data in all three formats (DLG-Standard, DLG-
Optional, and Graphic Data format).

To use the CD-ROM, you will require a PC running DOS (3.1 or later)
with the Microsoft CD-ROM Extensions vercion 2.0 or later. Needless to
sa9, a CD-ROM reader is also necessary! These cost about $ 700 or so and
there is a nice little program which permits you to use dhem to play
music disks when not reading data.
