*** Why does everyone put stuff here? *** (Reprinted without permission from USA Today, 4/15/85) PRICE $3,995: YUGO SUBCOMPACT COMING IN SUMMER Wistful for the days of the $3,995 small car? Be misty-eyed no more. The Yugo is coming. A Yugoslavian subcompact based on the design of the Fiat 127, it will be imported by Bricklin Industries this summer and marketed in the USA by a yet-to-be-completed dealer network. The largest concentration of dealers is in the Boston-to-Washington corridor. The improter expects to sell 70,000 cars in the first year and 450,000 within five years. (my personal comment - $3,995 will probably be retail price with the same flavor as retail prices for Japanese cars, i.e. could be tough to find for under $4500 or so....) ******** Chuck Slana (..!ihnp4!uwvax!crystal!slana) standard token disclaimer follows: Like, uh, like these views are, like, my own. They, like, ain't the responsibility of no one else, OK?
