The 2nd UCR Guildsman is now available via anonymous ftp in postscript & LaTeX formats from watnxt2.ucr.edu (192.31.146.189). The files are under pub/ucrgg and are named guildsman2.tex.tar.Z and guildsman2.ps.tar.Z respectively. As usual, we're ripping a lot of stuff off the net, but in the true nature of electronic media, we're making it available to all of you free of charge. Here's the contents of the Fall issue. For you VMSers out there and all you who don't have ftp access, just send me email at... Internet: jimv@ucrmath.ucr.edu or uucp: !ucsd!ucrmath!jimv ...and I'll email all this stuff up to you. A note to postscripters: the .ps takes about 2.6 Meg untar'ed and uncompressed, so make sure you have somewhere to stuff it before you ftp. Last but not least, we're looking for comments and we need to know our geographic distribution, so please send email specifying your location so we can know how many of these went wherever. Because of budget constraints and a lack of techies in the Guild, we may be forced or otherwise coerced into abandoning net distribution if the response is fairly low-key, so if you wanna see a Guildsman #3 in Winter, please respond with your location and any applicable (hopefully nice :-) comments. Thanx... ______________________________________________________________ I Jim Vassilakos I Weenie I I University of California, Riverside I - GM - I I jimv@ucrmath.ucr.edu I extraneous I --------------------------------------------------------------
