Has anybody had any experience with the extended service policies you can buy on the GM cars. On the Buick Park AVenue you can get it exended to 4 years or 48k miles or 5 years and unlimited mileage. CVost about 350 for the first and 455 for the second. There is a 50 dollar deductible each time you bring the car in. How fussy are they about requiring you to do the preventive maintenance by the book? Any comments will be appreciated. For the person who suggested that Radio Shack had a unit with a clock and tach in it. I looked into it. The tach only measures in units of 100 rpms. Not fine enough for what I want to check. However after thinking about it, a standard counter with a 6 cylinder engine, will read out directly in rpm for a 10 second count period. Irv MCNAIR ATT Bell Labs, Whippany
