On greyscale 5000's (and possibly other DECstations) exiting from xlispstat causes an infinite loop of error messages. Under the dxwm window manager modal dialogs do not appear. The first two appear to be due to bugs in the X servers. The third may be related to the fact that dxwm is not fully ICCCM-compliant. I have placed patches to work around these problems in the anonymous ftp directory on umnstat.stat.umn.edu (128.101.51.1) and they have also been posted to statlib. To obtain the patches by anonymous ftp, ftp to umnstat, cd to pub/xlispstat, and get the file ultrixpatch.shar To obtain the patch from statlib, send mail to statlib@lib.stat.cmu.edu with the line send dec40 from xlispstat Luke Tierney luke@umnstat.stat.umn.edu
