The machine ftp.eng.umd.edu has just been set up for anonymous ftp.
The internet address might change at any time, so I won't post it --
use nameservers instead.

The system doesn't have tons of disk space (about 33 meg for the ftp
partition), but it does have some programs that have been the subject
of repeated "where can I get" postings -- among others, there
currently are top (works on Ultrix 4.0 and SunOS 4.1), zmodem, less
version 123, arc, unzip, protoize, and a test version of g++ that can
build groff under SunOS 4.1.  Soon I think it will have xtank, as
well.
