A lot will depend on your mechanical abilities, personality, etc. but Economically the best sports car buy (in my humble opinion) is a used Corvette. Many low mileage cars are available in good condition. You can own and drive one for many years and still have a vehicle that Appreciates. There is no worry about rust ( the main killer of metal can cars ) and only occasional mechanical repairs. Plus most people can't tell how old the car is and think you spent a fortune on it. Post your decision and why ihnp4!cbnap!tel

The above is pretty solid advice, a lot of 'vette owners baby
their cars. BUT these owners rarely let them go cheaply if at all.
Also less caring owners have a habit of disconnecting the odometer
so it looks as if THEY only drove 4-6 months a year. Usual used
car advice applies here, get mechanic to give it once over etc
(my mechanic quoted $ 25 to check any domestic car out, I suspect
that this would be about average).
Good Luck
