(Para Mode is still in a prototype stage; it's by Robert Chassell, bob@ai.mit.edu; the discussion group is para@cs.cmu.edu; you can send mail to para-request@cs.cmu.edu to join.) Infosim lets you browse and make use of a Texinfo document without translating it into Info form (and, alas, I can't remember the name of the author of Infosim to give credit and thanks). So, re LaTeXiNfO, my main questions are: - is there anything like Infosim for LaTeXiNfO? - is there anything like Para for LaTeXiNfO? - what great benefits would I derive by going to LaTeX over raw TeX? (I am exposing my great ignorance here -- apologies!) Robert Chassell has written eloquently about the reasons for wanting something like Para Mode and Infosim; see the Para archives at ipl.rpi.edu in /pub/para for details, or ask me if interested. Tnx for helpful advice ... apologies for capitalization of alternate letters in LaTeXiNfO, but I can't resist .... :-) .... ^z (science@oasys.dt.navy.mil)
