My sunroof (the kind that can either pop-up or be taken off, not the
electronic sliding kind) makes a rattling noise when the car is moving and
I have it in the up position. It's not a real loud rattling noise, but
just loud enough to make me turn the stereo volume up a bit to drown it
out. What I want to know is if anyone else who has this kind of a sunroof
experiences the same problem.
I brought the car to the dealer and he said that it's common and nothing
he can do about it. The car, by the way, is a Mazda RX-7, so I would
particularly like to hear from other RX-7 owners.

A cronic problem with RX-7 sunroofs is that they rattle like all get out. I have a 79 version and I was able to get the majority of it out by unscrewing the front sunroof attachment points and bending the springs there so that the sunroof is held tighter against the catch.
