[comp.archives] [epoch] An alternative mouse handler

jw@sics.se (Johan Widen) (11/13/90)

A month ago, or so, Ken Laprade <laprade@trantor.harris-atd.com> posted his
verision of the epoch mouse handler to this list. That version seems to
work also in the current verision of epoch.

A feature I like particularly is that I can now "grab" the window with the mouse
and make it scroll by moving the mouse. That is: I shift-click at line 23 say,
move the mouse to line 11 and release the mouse button. The window will now
scroll so that the line that was at 23 is now at 11.

To use the package load it into epoch instead of the standard 'mouse.el'.

If you missed the package when it went by on the list, you can get it from
me by ftp or mail-server (Is the epoch-list archived somewhere? Should I
read the manual?).

If you retrieve the package from us, be warned: I may have changed some of
the mouse bindings from what Ken provided in the original message. Blame me,
not him, if you don't like them.

You can retrieve the package by ftp from
	sics.se (192.16.123.90)
    path	archive/epoch-3.2/contrib/mouse-laprade.tar.Z

or by sending an email to
	mail-server@sics.se
with the following line in the body of the email:
	send epoch-3.2/contrib/mouse-laprade.tar.Z
