#In regards to your recent posting about software to read and display
#FITS format, where can a copy of IRAF or AIPS be obtained. Thanks in
#advance.
IRAF can be obtained either by anonymous ftp from tucana.noao.edu, or
by writing to KPNO in Tucson Az. I don't know the zip.
AIPS cannot currently be obtained by anonymous ftp. Send a letter to
NRAO, ATTN: Ernie Allen, Edgemont Rd., Charlottesville Va, 22903.
In both cases indicate the desired density, and the computer and OS
type that you desire.

You can get it via anonymous ftp to nssdca.gsfc.nasa.gov . It is in the subdirectory called FITS. It is there in several formats including Postscript and TEX. I got the postscript version and it printed out fine. Kevin Brown Hewlett Packard Boise Printer Division brown@hpbsm15.boi.hp.com
