The files can be retrieved using the FTP utility. First, ftp to milton.u.washington.edu Second, cd to the directory, /public/virtual-worlds Third, GET the two files, Sept_90 and Oct_90. The first is about 40K, the second about 155K. Obviously, the September files are incomplete. (Mark De Loura at the UW has about 900K of prior postings, which I will retrieve from him and put in the archives shortly.) Some of the files are in ASCII, others have been converted to Mac Word but will play out as ASCII with a few extraneous control characters included (which should be edited out by you). If you want to word process and print out these files, you'll want to put lines between the end of each posting and the beginning of the posting that follows. Easily done; you'll get it in a moment when you cat (read) the files. Thanks for encouraging me to do this.
