You really want to look at the new IMAP rel. 2 distribution from
Washington (Mark Crispin being one of the authors). It looks wonderful,
and it contains servers and clients for IMAP, POP2, POP3, on Unix, Next,
Mac and MSDOS.

It can be had from cac.wahington.edu, directory /imap. You also need to
get ccmd from cunixf.cc.columbia.edu, directory /ccmd; once you are
ftp'ing from columbia, you might also want to get their very
sophisticated mm unix mailer, which I have never used, but seems to be
very good, and is in directory /mm.
